During 23rd-24th November, 2015, Rajanukul Institute held a meeting to clarify the research project “Development of a model of child development promotion in normal developmental children from newborn to 5 years old” and to train “Reinforcement of the attachment between caretakers and children through 4 activities: eating, hugging, playing and storytelling” at Hi Residence Hotel Bangkok. The meeting consisted of 50participants: the main co-researchers from 6 pilot provinces in Chiang-Rai, Chanthaburi, Lop Buri, Surin, Roi Et, and Nakorn Sri Thammarat, together with staff from the Mental Health Center 1, 4 ,6, 7, 9, 11.
The objective of the project “Development of a model of child development promotion in normal developmental children from newborn to 5 years old” is to develop a model of child developmental promotion by emphasizing on strong attachment between the caretakers and children which is the most important foundation to develop the children’s IQ & EQ. For this reason, Rajanukul Instiute is conducting a research and development of parents’ training course using “Mental Vaccination” activities. This training course intends to make parents to realize the importance of emotional attachment and to teach parents to create parent-child relationship during each children’s ages through easy daily activities: eating, hugging, playing with children, talking & communication, and storytelling.
