From 9th -11th September,2015, Rajanukul Institute held a PG seminar in order to develop Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse network at Rachamontein Room, Montein Hotel Bangkok.
( On 9th September 2015) , Dr.JedsadaChokdamrongsuk, the director general of Mental Health Department, presided over the opening ceremony which Dr.AmpornBenjaponpitak, the director of Rajanukul Institute, reported the organizing of this seminar.
Panel discussion in the topic of “The worth and the opportunity to develop specialized child and adolescent psychiatric nurses” by Associate Professor Nittaya Kochapakdee, Dr.Siriporn Kanchana, Associate Professor Manyat Ruchiwit (Dean of Faculty of Nurse, Thammasart University), Dr.Paisarn Kuearun, the director of Praboromrajchanok Institute for Health Workforce Development, and Dr.Amporn Benjaponpitak who was the panel chair of this discussion.
There were 5 best practice presentations in child and adolescent nursing care from Ms.Patcharin Ratanunpinit, Prayannasangworn Hospital; Chiangrai province, Ms.Ratree Wattanathorn, Prayamengrai Hospital; Chiangrai province, Ms.Natenapis Supaka, Wangnamyen hospital; Srakaew province, Pol. Lt.Weerawan Yuwabhoomi, Banlard hospital; Petchaburi province, Ms.Saovaluck Katenakin, Nakornsrithammarat Provincial Public Health Office. The presentation was conducted by Ms.Jaruwan Prada, professional-level registered nurse, from Rajanukul Institute.
(September 10th,2015) A lecture “The development and the usage of Thai Early Developmental Assessment for Intervention(TEDA4I)as a tool for helping Preschool Children with developmental problems”byDr.Noppawan Sriwongpanich. The participants were divided into groups to practice using this tool under the supervision of experts.
(September11th ,2015) A lecture “Guideline for using Developmental Surveillance and Promotion Manual (DSPM) and Developmental Assessment for Intervention Manual (DAIM)” by Ms. Ammara Wathanyukunakorn, the lecturer from Rajanagarindra Institute for Child Development. After the lecture, the participants were divided into groups to practice using DSPM and DAIM.
The objective of this seminar was to develop and refresh knowledge of participants as well as to empower Child and Adolescent Psychiatric nurses and networks. There were 327 participants from post graduated Child and Adolescent Psychiatric nurses’ batch 1st -13th and personnel who work in health and educational fields joined the seminar.
