Training course for Preparing Health Professionals to Provide Care to Individuals with Intellectual Disability
Rajanukul Institute has developed this training course to improve the knowledge and understanding for health professionals on preparing to provide care to individuals with Intellectual Disability (ID). The training course is designed for public health professionals who are actively involved in the treatment and care process related to health programs for individuals with ID. The course will also give a good foundation for non-experience health professionals involved in addressing the health challenges posed by providing care to individuals with ID.
The aim of the course is to provide public health professionals with the knowledge and skills to deal with individuals with ID as they arise in the field of mental health care. We also aim to share our practice-based knowledge to other health professionals who are interested. Teaching methods will include interactive practical sessions and lectures including study tour.
Period of training
3 Days; 29 – 31 May 2019 (8.30 am- 4.00 pm) The Training Course consists of 11 sessions in the format of PowerPoint slides and text notes.
